Wasson Earns USA Women's Tennis All-Academic Honors

IRVING, Texas - University of Houston senior Lynley Wasson was among three seniors named to the Conference USA Tennis All-Academic First Team, the league office announced Wednesday.
Wasson joins the all-academic team as a consumer sciences major with a 3.63 GPA. The Tempe, Ariz., native was a member of the 2008 UH tennis squad that was honored during the UH Academic Banquet for earning a team semester GPA of 3.34, the highest among all UH athletic teams.
The right-handed Cougar has put together a 14-5 season in singles play and joined teammate Joanna Kacprzyk to form an 11-5 doubles record.
The all-academic team consists of student-athletes who have earned a 3.2 cumulative grade point average or better and are a regular participant on their team.
