TEAM NOTES
** With 25 points, the Cougars scored in their 96th consecutive game... The Cougars have not been shut out since a 48-0 loss at Texas on Sept. 23, 2000.
** The Cougars fell to 3-1 (.750) all-time when playing Colorado State... The Cougars also fell to 1-1 (.500) all-time when playing at Colorado State.
** Saturday's game was the first meeting in Colorado between these two teams since UH took a 28-20 win on Nov. 10, 1973.
** The Cougars fell to 7-10 (.412) all-time when playing in the Mountain Time Zone.
** The Cougars fell to 78-90-4 (.494) all-time when playing in the month of September.
** Houston fell to 3-4 (.429) all-time when playing on Sept. 20... The loss snapped a two-game winning streak when playing on Sept. 20, dating back to 1986.

** With three touchdowns, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum has thrown a touchdown pass in seven consecutive games.
** With three touchdowns, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum recorded the seventh multi-touchdown game of his career... It also was the fourth game of his career with at least three touchdown passes and his fourth straight game with at least three touchdown passes to open the 2008 season.
** With three touchdowns, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum now has thrown 16 touchdowns to date in 2008... His total topped his passing touchdown total of 14 from all of 2007. ** With 380 passing yards, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum recorded the fifth 300-yard passing game of his career... The Cougars fell to 1-4 (.200) during games in which Keenum throws for 300 yards.
** With 380 passing yards, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum recorded his fifth consecutive game with at least 300 passing yards... He became the first Cougar quarterback to accomplish that feat since Jimmy Klingler from Oct. 24-Nov. 28, 1992... Jimmy Klingler's brother David Klingler was the last Cougar quarterback to throw for at least 300 yards in seven straight games, accomplishing that feat from Sept. 8 to Oct. 27, 1990.
** With 37 completions, sophomore quarterback Case Keenum set a personal high... His total topped his previous best of 35 set at Oklahoma State on Sept. 6, 2008.
** Sophomore quarterback Case Keenum's 380 passing yards was the highest total recorded by either team in the series against Colorado State... His total topped the previous high of 227 yards by CSU's Caleb Hanie in 2007.
** With one touchdown, senior tight end Mark Hafner recorded his fourth straight game with at least one touchdown catch.
** With eight receptions, senior tight end Mark Hafner tied his personal high in that category... His total equaled his best of eight catches set at Oklahoma State on Sept. 6, 2008.
** With 14 rushes for 86 yards, freshman running back Bryce Beall set career highs in both categories... His yardage total topped his previous high of 53 yards against Southern on Aug. 30, 2008, while his carries mark best his previous best of nine against Air Force on Sept. 13, 2008.
** With seven receptions, sophomore wide receiver Kierrie Johnson set a personal high in that category... His total topped his previous best of three catches set against Southern on Aug. 30, 2008.
** With 10 tackles, senior cornerback Quinte Williams set a personal best... His total topped his previous high of six tackles done three times and most recently against Southern on Aug. 30, 2008. ** With three pass breakups, junior cornerback Brandon Brinkley equaled his career high... His total equaled his best first set against Rice on Oct. 13, 2007.
** With his blocked field goal at the 11:05 mark of the first quarter, sophomore tight end Wesley Scourten recorded the first block of his career.
