HOUSTON - The University of Houston football team continued preparations for its game against Air Force on Wednesday, hitting the UH practice fields for an hour and a half.
But as Hurricane Ike continues to move across the Gulf of Mexico, the Houston coaching staff also found themselves prepping their players for the team's move to Dallas for this weekend's game.
"They are forecasting tropical storm force winds and lots of rain here," head coach Kevin Sumlin said. "That would make for very poor conditions to play a football game in."
Sumlin added that the move will offer little as a distraction as the team has been practicing all week keeping a possible game site change in mind.
Detailed information on tickets for Saturday's game will be available Thursday afternoon.
The game can be heard live on 790 AM The Sports Animal with Tom Franklin calling the play-by-play action, Ted Pardee and David Klingler providing color analysis and Chuck Brown reporting from the sidelines. The pregame show is slated to begin one hour before kickoff.
In addition, the game will air live on CBS College Sports (DirecTV channel 613/Dish Network channel 152) with Carter Blackburn as the play-by-play announcer and Aaron Taylor as the color analyst.
