C-USA Academic Medal Winners Announced

IRVING, Texas - Eleven University of Houston student-athletes were awarded the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal for the 2007-08 academic year, Commissioner Britton Banowsky announced on Wednesday. They join a group of 334 student-athletes from the conference.
The medals are awarded to C-USA student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better. The total number student-athletes who received the medal increased by more than 4 percent over the past year, according to the conference office.
Tulsa had the most medal winners with 41 and was followed by Memphis (38), SMU (37), and East Carolina (36).
