Baseball Punches Ticket for NCAA College Station Regional

HOUSTON - Fresh off its first Conference USA Championship title in eight seasons, the University of Houston baseball team will compete as the No. 3 seed at the NCAA College Station Regional at Olsen Field, scheduled to begin this weekend.
The Cougars (39-22, 14-10 C-USA) will meet No. 2 seed Dallas Baptist at 12:30 p.m., Friday in the first game of the Regional. The Cougars join No. 1 seed and host Texas A&M and No. 4 seed Illinois-Chicago at the postseason event.
The winner of the double-elimination Regional will face the winner of the NCAA Houston Super Regional hosted by Rice on June 6-9 at a site to be determined
Reserved all-session tickets are available for $55. Individual session tickets will go on sale beginning at 8 a.m., Friday at the Texas A&M Ticket Office. and will run $10 for reserved, $7 for adult general admission and $4 for youth general admission. Students from the participating schools may purchase tickets on gameday for $4.
Cougar fans wishing to purchase premium seats for the Regional are encouraged to buy their tickets through the Texas A&M Ticket Office at aggieathletics.com or by calling 979-845-2311 or 888-99-AGGIE.
Cougar fans who wish to buy seats in the guaranteed Cougar seating block can purchase their tickets through the UH Athletics Ticket Office by calling 713-GO-COOGS or by visiting UHCougars.com and clicking on the Tickets link.
Tickets will not be available to pick up at the UH Athletics Ticket Office until 1 p.m., Tuesday.
All-session parking is available through the Texas A&M Ticket Office for $12 and includes the two main Olsen Field lots and the southeast lot of Reed Arena. Parking will be sold only by phone or in person at the Texas A&M box offices, or may also be purchased at the lots on gameday for $4.
This marks the 18th time in school history and the second time in the last three seasons that the Cougars have advanced to the NCAA postseason.
The Cougars earned their way into the Regional with a hard-fought run through the 2008 Entergy C-USA Championship, hosted by Tulane at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium last week.
After splitting their first two games against East Carolina and UAB, the Cougars fought their way through the loser's bracket, beating UAB twice on Saturday before knocking off Marshall 3-2 on Sunday in the C-USA Championship game.
It was the third C-USA Championship title for the Cougars under head coach Rayner Noble, who will lead his eighth team into an NCAA regional.
