TEAM RECORDS AND SERIES NOTES
- No. 5 seed Southern Miss improves to 18-12 win the win. The Lady Eagles concluded Conference USA play with an 8-8 record.
- No. 4 seed Houston finishes the season at 15-16. The Cougars finished league action with a 9-7 record.
- Houston still leads the all-time series with Southern Miss, 10-9.

HOUSTON GAME NOTES
- Freshman forward Courtney Taylor scored a career-high 21 points and brought down 11 rebounds for her eighth double-double of her career.
- Houston's seven wins away from home this season surpassed the team's road-win total (4) from the previous two seasons.
- Tye Jackson had four points in the game to give her 1,197 for career. She currently ranks fifth on Conference USA's all-time active career scoring list.
- The Cougars won the rebound battle 37-31 and have won the battle of the boards in 15 games this season.
SOUTHERN MISS GAME NOTES
- Southern Miss overcame a 17-point (39-22) halftime deficit en route to the win. It was the largest halftime deficit the Lady Eagles overcame this season to post a victory.
- The Lady Eagles have won four of their last five games.
- Sophomore forward Pauline Love scored 18 points in the game to mark the team-leading 17th time in her career that she has led the team in scoring.
- Junior forward Kendra Reed had 17 points in the game to give her 1,284 for her career. She currently ranks ninth all-time on the school's all-time career scoring list.
- Reed went a perfect 6-of-6 from the free-throw line to give her 339 charity shots for her career. That ties her for seventh-place all-time on the school's free-throws made list.
