Golf finishes 7th at the Border Olympics

Houston --The University of Houston carded a 309 team score on Saturday during the final round to finish seventh at the Border Olympics in Laredo, Texas.
The Cougars could not make up ground on Arkansas, whose three-day team total 3-over-par 867 was good enough to win the team title.
Baylor's Colston Williams took home top medalist honors after posting a 70 on Saturday for a 9-under-par 207 3-day total.
Junior Steven Frazier shot the Cougars' lowest final round, firing at 2-over 74 at the 7,241-yard layout. The Houston native closed at 3-over 219 to tie for 11th place, UH's top finisher.
Other Cougars scores were junior Ben Moser 222 (+6), junior Brady Shivers 223 (+7), senior Jordan Irwin 228 (+12) and sophomore Jackie Lindsey 230 (+14).
Freshman Trevor Edwards competed as a medalist and finished with a 245.
Houston returns to action Mar. 23-24 as the travel to Tucson, Arizona to participate in the Tucson National Invitational Tournament.
