SOPHOMORE (2007) Emerged as one of the Cougars' and Conference USA's most consistent sluggers... Team leader in batting average (.352), hits (77), doubles (13) and on-base percentage (.417)... Rattled off a 20-game hitting streak midway through the season, the fifth-longest streak in school history... Joined pitcher Wes Musick on the All-Conference USA First Team... Made his Cougar debut against Stephen F. Austin in the season opener a memorable one... Batted 2-for-3 with a run and RBI against the Lumberjacks... Went 3-for-4 with a run, double and RBI against No. 20 Baylor during the first day of the Houston College Classic... Finished 2-for-3 with a solo home run against Texas A&M during the second day of the College Classic... Went 3-for-5 with a double, RBI and two runs scored against McNeese State... Launched a three-run, opposite-field homer to tie the game in the eighth inning against Dallas Baptist during the second day of the Southwest Diamond Classic... Batted 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBIs and a solo homer in the Northwestern State series opener... Batted 2-for-6 with two runs and an RBI at Lamar... Gave the Cougars a two-run cushion against the Cardinals with an RBI-single in the top of the 10th inning... Went 2-for-5 with a run and two RBIs in the middle game of the UAB series... Batted 3-for-5 with a run, double and four RBIs during the finale of the UAB series... Went 3-for-4 with a run and RBI at Stephen F. Austin.. Batted 2-for-4 with a double at No. 11 Texas A&M... Batted 2-for-3 with a run, double and RBI at No. 23 Tulane during the series opener... Went 2-for-5 with a run and RBI in the series finale at No. 23 Tulane... Batted 3-for-4 against Texas-San Antonio in Victoria... Batted 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and an RBI at Marshall during the series opener.. Batted 3-for-5 with an RBI at Sam Houston State.
DELGADO JUNIOR COLLEGE (2005-06) Worked two seasons for head coach Joe Scheuermann. Redshirt Freshman (2006): Batted .371 (56-for-151) with seven home runs and 44 RBIs... Also added 38 runs scored, 19 doubles and a .702 slugging percentage. Freshman (2005): Sat out his first collegiate season with a redshirt.
JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL Award-winning baseball player for head coach David Moreau... Two-sport star in baseball and basketball... Three-time All-District and All-Metro performer in baseball... Member of the National Honor Society... Worked in 2003 at Camp Summertribe, a camp for students with mental and physical handicaps and as a volunteer at the Ozanam Inn, a shelter for the homeless. Senior (2004): Was named to All-District and All-State teams on the way to the Catholic League championship... Batted .392 (47-for-120) with a home run and 31 RBIs to help lead team to the Class 5A state championship game... Recorded 23 bases on balls and was hit by a pitch four times for a .526 on-base percentage... Selected to play in the LHSAA All-Star Game... Named to the Times-Picayune All-District and All-Orleans teams... Received the Louisiana American-Italian Youth Scholarship Award and the American Legion W.P. "Skeeter" Award. Junior (2003): Was an All-District 9-5A honoree, batting .410 with five home runs. Sophomore (2002): Helped lead the Blue Jays baseball team to the Class 5A state championship... Was named to the All-District 9-5A team and the All-Metro Team. Freshman (2001): Was the starting point guard for the Blue Jays basketball team, which captured the Class 5A state championship... All-Metro and All-District honoree.
