Baseball Begins The Rayner Noble Show on Monday

HOUSTON - With the beginning of the 2008 college baseball season just more than a week away, University of Houston fans can catch an early glimpse of the Cougars with the start of The Rayner Noble Show on Monday.
Noble will join host Jeremy Branham from noon to 12:30 p.m. on selected Mondays throughout the 2008 season. Fans can catch the show live on the Internet by visiting the Baseball team page at UHCougars.com and clicking the appropriate link.
Noble and Branham will look ahead to the Cougars' season-opening weekend against Pacific on Feb. 22-24 and discuss a variety of topics.
In addition to Monday, The Rayner Noble Show also is scheduled to air live on Feb. 25, March 3, March 17, April 7, April 14, April 28, May 12, May 19 and May 26.
Branham is in his first season as a member of the Cougar Baseball broadcast team but is no stranger to the UH Athletics Department. He is now in his second season as the voice of UH Women's Basketball while working on his bachelor's degree at Houston.
Branham has extensive broadcast experience, first working as a fill-in broadcaster for the Houston ISP Sports Network during the 2005-06 women's basketball season.
The Cougars open their 2008 season on Feb. 22-24 when they play host to Pacific at Cougar Field. That series begins at 6:30 p.m., Feb. 22, continues at 3 p.m., Feb. 23 and wraps up at 1 p.m., Feb. 24.

Branham joins former Cougar letterman Pat Cauley, who begins his sixth season of providing color analysis in 2008. A 1995 Houston graduate, he was a member of the 1993 team and served as a student assistant coach for Noble in 1995.
The pregame show is slated to begin about 15 minutes before first pitch.
