Softball Announces Winter Softball Camp Sign Ups

HOUSTON--The University of Houston softball team announced, Wednesday, Houston Cougar Winter Softball Camp sign ups for two different winter sessions.
Session I camps are from Dec. 6-7, while Session II camps are from Jan. 10-11. All sessions are $80. There is a $20 discount per session if participants sign up for more than one.
Session I is open to ages 8-18, while session II is for high school players.
Each session includes hitting, which takes place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., slapping from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and pitching, which is from 2:30 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. Participants will attend the camp two days at the specific time designated.
For the hitting session, players will focus on proper mechanics of hitting the inside and outside pitch.
In the slapping session, players will focus on the mechanics of slapping and drop bunting.
For the pitching session, players will learn the proper mechanics of pitching, including drills and advanced techniques. All pitchers must bring their own catchers.
The camp will be taught by the UH coaching staff and Cougar softball players teaching participants the fundamentals of softball.
