Farmer Named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

Irving, TEXAS - University of Houston junior Justine Farmer was named the Conference USA Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her performance the past week as announced by the conference office.
Farmer averaged 5.14 kills and 3.55 digs to lead the Cougars with five straight double-doubles in a span that saw the Cougars play five matches in four days.
The El Paso native also set a school record for attempts with 99 against UT-San Antonio on Sept. 6. She moved into seventh place on the Cougars all-time kills list with 1,241 and currently leads C-USA in kills per game at 5.06.
Houston defeated Cal State Bakersfield on Sept. 6 and won a road game against UT-San Antonio on Sept. 7 before heading to San Marcos, Texas for the CenturyTel Premier over the weekend.
Farmer and the Cougars return home to play host to the Houston Tournament Sept. 13-15. They open the weekend against Rice on Thursday and will play Stephen F. Austin Friday. Houston will conclude the weekend against Wake Forest on Saturday. All three matches will be played at 7pm.
