HOUSTON - The University of Houston Volleyball team travels to No. 25 Kansas State tonight to take on the Wildcats in their first road contest of the 2007 season at 6pm.
The Cougars are off to a 1-0 start after a convincing three game win over Texas-Arlington Aug. 24 while KSU won the Best Western Shocker Volleyball Classic defeating No. 14 Cal Poly, North Texas and Wichita State.
This will be the seventh time the two schools have met and the fifth time in the Walton Era. The two schools have a split in the series at three games apiece but KSU holds a 3-1 lead with head coach Bill Walton at the helm. In 2005, Houston traveled to Manhattan, Kan., for the last match-up falling in four games.
KSU is the first of three Big 12 opponents the Cougars will face this season. They will also face No. 4 Texas and Missouri.

Houston was led by junior Justine Farmer who notched her 10th double double in 11 games dating back to last season. UH was also paced by freshman Lucy Charuk and Hannah Sullivan who added 11 and 10 kills, respectively.
This Weekend
Following the match tonight, the Cougars will return home to host the Houston Invitational Aug. 31-Sept. 2. Houston will meet No. 4 Texas at 5pm Aug. 31 and New Mexico State Sept. 2 at 1pm.
