Cougars Set Fan Appreciation Day

Houston, Texas - The University of Houston Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has set Friday, August 24, as the annual Fan Appreciation Night for the Cougar Football team. Fan Appreciation Night offers the fans an opportunity to meet and interact with the 2007 Houston Cougar Football team.
The event will be held in the Yeoman Field House, with doors opening at 5:30 pm. A pep rally will start at 6 pm with the Spirit of Houston band playing to introduce the Cougars. Both UH Director of Athletics Dave Maggard and UH head football coach Art Briles will address the fans in attendance.
Fans can take part in a variety of attractions and games, including a 20-yard shuttle run, field-goal kick, Cougar tire toss and a video game experience featuring the 2008 EA Sports College Football game. Plus, food and refreshments will be provided during the festivities.
Autographs and photos with the players will be available, and then all fans are encouraged to attend the volleyball game at 8 pm, featuring the Cougars versus Texas-Arlington, which is also in the Yeoman Field House.
