Sacramento, Calif. -- Senior Ebonie Floyd concluded an impressive showing Saturday at the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, Calif. with a third place finish in the 200 meters with at time of 22.65.
Plaugued by shin splints during Friday's 100 meter final where she finished second with a time 11.28, Floyd almost did not race in the 200 meter final. She entered the meet with the fastest 2007 collegiate time in the 200 meters and was named an NCAA All-American for her performance at the championships.
Junior Ivan Diggs joined Floyd as an All-American with his eighth place finish in the high jump on Friday.
Houston also earned a 10th place finish in the 4x100 prelims on Wednesday. Floyd combined with freshmen Hyleta Young and Quin'shundolyn McPherson and sophomore Seun Adigun to finish the race in 44.79.
