Twenty-Five Student-Athletes Take Part in December Graduation

HOUSTON - The University of Houston athletics department announced today that 25 student-athletes participated in graduation ceremonies this past weekend on the UH campus, including six that graduated with honors.
Among the 25 graduates, four graduated summa cum laude. Those included Szintia Szanto (swimming and diving), Rachel Gitelson (swimming and diving), Millicent Martin (volleyball) and Jennifer Dry (soccer).
Soccer's Kristen Cooper graduated magna cum laude and football's Harry Simon graduated cum laude.
Football had nine earn their diplomas this past weekend. Graduates included Ryan Gilbert, Sebastian Vollmer, Trent Allen, Donnie Avery, Dustin Dickinson, Billy Hartford, Perry McDaniel, Rocky Schwartz and Simon.
Sam Anderson (men's basketball), Laura Durham (softball), Candi Kloecker (softball), Carla Kennimer (softball), Sophia Mundy (soccer), Heather Williams (soccer), Jennifer Hohl (volleyball), Tristian Whitley (track and field), Ricky Romano (golf), Rebecca Gibson Rideau (women's basketball) and Josh Stirneman (baseball) round out the group of graduates.
