King Earns Volleyball All-Academic Honors

Huntington, W. Va. - University of Houston junior Kelsey King was named to the 2007 Conference USA All-Academic Team as announced by the conference office. The All-Academic team consists of 14 volleyball student-athletes that have a 3.2 GPA or higher and are starter or key reserve on the team.
King, a San Antonio, Texas native, owns a 3.94 GPA in Psychology. Despite missing seven matches this season due to illness, she leads the team in assists 683. Entering conference play, King was tenth in the league with 8.77 assists per game and recorded a season-high 50 assists against ECU.
Marshall led the league with three members named to the All-Conference team while Memphis and Tulane followed with two each on the inaugural team.
The Cougars concluded the 2007 season falling to Southern Miss 3-1 at the 2007 Conference USA Volleyball Tournament in Huntington, W. Va.
