Farmer, Sullivan Earn C-USA Honors

Huntington, W. Va. -- Two University of Houston volleyball players earned Conference USA awards Wednesday night at the annual C-USA Volleyball Championship banquet.
Junior Justine Farmer was named the All-Conference USA First Team for the second straight season. The El Paso, Te\xas native leads the nation in kills per game with a 5.58 average. She also leads the team in kills (592) and total attempts (1,646).
Farmer's 1,652 career kills is a Houston record and her 1,251 career digs is fourth all-time. She also leads the league in kills (367) and points (405.0) in conference matches and was twice named the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week this season.
Freshman Hannah Sullivan took home All-Conference USA Freshman Team honors after leading the team in service aces (40). She ranks second on the team in kills with 297 and third in digs (252). Her 0.55 service ace per game average is second in the league in C-USA matches.
The Cougars open play at the 2007 C-USA Volleyball Championships Thursday at 1pm when they face Southern Miss.
