Volleyball Preps For C-USA Volleyball Championship

HOUSTON - The University of Houston volleyball team will travel to Huntington, W. Va., for the Conference USA Volleyball Championship on Tuesday. The tournament is hosted by Marshall University at the Cam Henderson Center.
The Cougars (13-14, 8-8 C-USA) earned the sixth seed in the tournament and will open play against Southern Miss at 1pm on Nov. 15. The winner of that match will face fourth-seed UAB at 1pm on Friday. Tournament play concludes on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 5pm. The championship match will air live on CSTV.
UH is 17-10 all-time in tournament matches. They last played in the championship match in 2005, falling to Marshall, 3-2.
Earlier this season, the Cougars defeated their first round opponent 3-1 and is 15-2 in the all-time series against the Golden Eagles. Houston played UAB in Birmingham losing in five games.

Radio Coverage
The C-USA Volleyball Championship will be aired live on WMUL for the first time in conference history. Each match will air on 88.1 FM in Huntington, W. Va., and will also be available at http://www..marshall.edu/wmul/live.asx.

Conference USA and CSTV Networks, Inc. will air 10 of the 11 C-USA Volleyball matches online. Each of Thursday and Friday's matches will be available online and Saturday's semifinals matches will also be streamed live online. Fans can watch each match for $6.95 and the championship for $7.95.
