HOUSTON - The University of Houston football team begins fall camp Thursday afternoon at the UH Athletics Complex. It's the first of 27 practices before the Cougars take the field for the season opener September 2 at Rice Stadium against the Owls.

The Cougars open fall camp with a team dinner Wednesday evening at the Carl Lewis Auditorium before fall camp officially begins at 4:30pm Thursday afternoon at the UH Athletics Complex. Practice will last until approximately 7pm as the Cougars will practice everyday except for scheduled off dates on August 6, 13, 20, 21, 26 and 28.
Houston will square off against crosstown rival Rice on September 2. Kickoff is slated for 8pm and a live telecast on CSTV. Single-game football tickets went on-sale today. Ticket prices start at just $14 for general admission. Reserved seats are priced at $25 per game. Reserved seats for the Oklahoma State game on Sept. 23 are $35 apiece while GA tickets will go for $20. Youth pricing is available for all games for youngsters from ages three to 18. Four sets of ticket mini-packs, released last week, are also available.
Tickets are available online at UHCougars.com, on the phone at 1-877-COUGAR-5 or 713-GO-COOGS or in person at the Athletics Department Ticket Office located inside the Athletics/Alumni Center. A high volume of phone calls are expected and fans are encouraged to make their purchases online.
