Hey Cougar Baseball Fans,
I know that haven't had a chance to update this thing in a while and for that I apologize, but in my defense I have been very busy trying to finalize a lot of things so that I can be completely done with school for the rest of my life. I am graduating on May 12 and I honestly cannot wait. I know that we play Rice on the 12th, but I will be at the game in my uniform as soon as possible.
Well, to keep all of you updated, we've played quite a few games since my last entry. We played Memphis at home and swept them and then played UAB on the road and came away from that with two wins out of three games.
I'm sure you are all aware of the 16-inning marathon on Sunday against Memphis in the 90-degree heat. On Saturday, we played a doubleheader because of the increasing chance of rain on Sunday. We played 18 innings on Saturday, and I caught them all. Needless to say, I was a little tired afterwards, but life does indeed go on.
The Coogs win two out of three so we are all happy because that is our goal each and every weekend in Conference USA play.
This weekend we have UCF at home, and Sunday is Senior Day, which will be the last regular-season game at Cougar Field for me and about five other seniors. I hope to see a lot of faces out there this weekend cheering on the Coogs.
By the way, I speak for the entire team when I say that we really do appreciate all the love and support that you give to us. It really means a great deal to us when the stands are full and the fans are cheering.
Thanks,
Brett
