HOUSTON - The University of Houston football team will conclude its third week of practice with a scrimmage Saturday morning at UH Athletics Complex.
The Cougars will practice for about 30 minutes before taking part in the controlled scrimmage at 11am. Fans are welcome to come watch the squad for no charge.
Both sides of the ball looked sharp last weekend as the offense produced four touchdowns, and the defense forced three turnovers. Saturday's scrimmage is the final scrimmage before the Red and White Spring Game on April 8th.
Houston kicks off the 2006 by facing cross-town rival Rice on September 2 at Rice Stadium. The Cougars begin the first of seven home games, including three straight, by taking on Tulane on September 9 at John O'Quinn Field at Robertson Stadium.
