LaCour Finishes 11th At the NCAA Championships

Fayetteville, Ark. - University of Houston junior sprinter Carey LaCour had an 11th-place finish in the prelims of the 200-meter dash at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday, March 10 at Fayetteville, Ark.
LaCour finished the third of four heats with the third-fastest time of 21.20 seconds. Xavier Carter of LSU won the heat with the fastest preliminary time of 20.47 seconds, David Neville of Indiana had a time of 20.97 seconds to finish ahead of LaCour.
The preliminary rounds began with Rubin Williams of Tennessee win the first head with a time of 20.70 seconds. Walter Dix of Florida State had a time of 20.70 seconds to win the second heat ahead of Florida's Willie Perry, who had a time of 20.85 seconds. Carter's teammate Kelly Willie won the fourth heat with a time of 20.48 seconds.
In the finals, Dix had a time of 20.27 seconds to win the NCAA individual championship. Carter was the runner-up with a time of 20.30 seconds, and Willie was third with a time of 20.46 seconds.
