HOUSTON - Head coach Bill Solberg announced this afternoon that the University of Houston soccer team has rescheduled its match against Nicholls State for 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20th at Robertson Stadium.
The match was orginally scheduled as the Cougars' home opener on August 28th, but was postponed due to Hurricane Katrina.
"Nicholls State lost a couple of matches on their schedule," Solberg said. "We wanted to make sure that we stayed loyal to them in having them come here and play us. It's a good game on both ends, and we're excited that we were able to work it out."
The Houston - Nicholls State tilt will now serve as the conclusion of an eight-match homestand for Solberg's squad. The Cougars will take on Sam Houston State on Friday night. Kick-off against the Bearkats is set for 7 p.m. at Robertson Stadium.
