Hurricane Hotline For Cougar Athletics Staff

Houston Athletics Staff,
While still assisting Tulane and Southern Miss following the aftermath and devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Conference USA is now better prepared to aid the University of Houston with preparation for Hurricane Rita. With the possibility of communication lines and cellular services powering down, and with athletics staff and student-athletes scattered, C-USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky and Athletics Director Dave Maggard want to make sure that all Houston athletics department staff members are accessible.
In order to do so, all athletics staff members are asked to call a special phone line set up through the offices of Conference USA at 214-774-1357. Please leave a message, including your name, title, a "land line" or reliable phone number, and personal e-mail address where you can be reached upon evacuation. The voice mail will be checked several times each day by Conference USA staff members so that phone numbers and e-mails can be collected and distributed to Houston athletic department staff.
