HOUSTON - The University of Houston baseball team's game time for Saturday against non-conference rival Pepperdine was moved up to 2 p.m., head coach Rayner Noble announced Monday afternoon.
The change was made to avoid a conflict with the UH men's basketball team, which plays Conference USA rival TCU at 7 p.m., Saturday night at Hofheinz Pavilion.
Before welcoming Pepperdine to Houston, the Cougars will meet crosstown rival Rice in Game One of the annual Sterling Bank Silver Glove Series at 4 p.m., Tuesday at Cougar Field.
That game can be heard live on KGBC 1540 AM with former Cougar players Nick Torina and Pat Cauley calling all the action. The pregame show is slated to begin at 3:45 p.m. All Cougar Baseball game are available over the Internet at www.UHCougars.com.
