Tennis Signs One During Early Recruiting Period

HOUSTON - The University of Houston tennis team inked Anna Djananova to a National Letter of Intent during the recent early signing period, head coach John Severance announced Tuesday.
Djananova is orginally from Bulgeria but is currently attending Stratford High School in Houston. She will enter UH as a freshman for the 2006-07 season.
"I believe Anna will contribute right away as a freshman for us next season," Severance said. "I'm looking forward to coaching her and teaching her how to play college tennis. She has the potential to be a very good college player."
The Cougars open the 2006 season against Sam Houston State at Hoff Courts on Jan. 28. The action gets underway at 9 am.
