TCU HEAD COACH JIM SCHLOSSNAGLE
"We got some luck, but you have to create your own luck. Shelby (Ford) had a good at bat, and if we hadn't fought to keep it close then the dropped pop up wouldn't have helped us. I don't believe in luck because if it had been 8-0 it wouldn't have meant anything. That's why you play to keep it close because when you do get the opportunity to take advantage of things, they work out."
On TCU relief pitcher Robbie Findlay and catcher Kyle Dahlberg
"We pitched well. You can't say enough about what Robbie Findlay did. That's as good of an effort as we've gotten in a long time. I thought one huge key in the game was the way Kyle Dahlberg caught and the way he threw. He was in the hospital last night for two hours on IV"s for dehydration. To come out and play like that today, it really helped to put an end to some big innings."
TCU RELIEF PITCHER ROBBIE FINDLAY
"I started locating my pitches pretty good about the seventh or eighth inning. I was kind of struggling in the fourth and fifth innings with my control. Overall though, I felt like I pitched pretty good."
On facing Houston
"I'm looking forward to playing them. I think we have more pitching left than they do. It's going to be a battle for two games tomorrow."
TCU SHORT STOP SHELBY FORD
On his two RBI infield single in the sixth inning
"I was looking for a fastball and I got it. Honestly I thought I had hit a home run when it came off the bat, and I looked up and thought oh boy, I better run. It surprisingly fell. It was one of those things that I was just glad it fell."
ECU HEAD COACH RANDY MAZEY
"We just decided in the huddle that we're not going to talk about this game, we're not going to talk about this tournament. "We have put ourselves in an outstanding position to find out if we're a national seed or not."
ECU FIRST BASEMAN RYAN NORWOOD
"Hey, five more wins and we're in Omaha. "That's been our goal all year. As soon as I hit the bus, I'm going to forget about this."
ECU CENTER FIELDER RYAN JONES
"We'd rather lose two games here than at regionals. We have it out of our system. A new season starts next weekend."
