BEAUMONT, Texas (AP) - Brian Latham and Andrew Owens each scored 21 points as Houston beat Lamar 85-77 Saturday night.

Alan Daniels led Lamar (1-2) with 32 points and 11 rebounds, but he also had nine of Lamar's 24 turnovers.
