As they prepare to defend their Conference USA title from a year ago and face another daunting schedule in 2004-05, the University of Houston Lady Cougars will play its first of two exhibition games against the visiting Everyone's Internet team on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 7:00pm at Hofheinz Pavilion on the UH campus.
The Lady Cougars will host the Houston Jaguars in their second exhibition game on Saturday, Nov. 13, at Hofheinz Pavilion at 7:00pm, before tipping off the regular season with five straight home games, beginning with the Wichita State Shockers on Nov. 19.
The Lady Cougars return three starters from last year's squad, which set school records for the most victories (28) and highest winning percentage (.875) en route to claiming both the Conference USA Regular Season and Tournament titles as well as a trip to "The Big Dance" for the first time in 12 years.
Leading Houston this season will be senior center Sancho Lyttle, a C-USA Preseason All- Conference selection as well as a selection to the 2005 Wade Watch List, and fellow senior Joann Overstreet.
