HOUSTON - The University of Houston's baseball game time against crosstown rival Rice at Cougar Field on Tuesday, Feb. 18, has been moved up to 3 p.m., head coach Rayner Noble announced Wednesday.
The time was changed to avoid a conflict with the UH men's basketball team, which plays host to Conference USA rival Saint Louis at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, in Hofheinz Pavilion.
The Cougars continue their 2003 season this weekend as they compete at the Astros College Classic at Minute Maid Park. UH opens the tournament against 10th-ranked Baylor at 3 p.m., Friday and then meets Alabama at 11 a.m., Saturday.
From there, the Cougars will close out the three-day event as they face Texas A&M at 7 p.m., Sunday.
All three games this weekend can be heard live on 88.3 FM KAXF or over the Internet at www.UHcougars.com.
