HOUSTON (AP) - Marcus Oliver scored 18 points to lead Houston to a 56-45 victory over Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday night.

Oliver hit 8 of 12 for the Cougars (2-3) in the low-scoring game. Bryan Shelton added 12 points and Anwar Ferguson scored 11.

Pape Ba, Markey Picard and Kendrick Frink each had 8 points for Bethune-Cookman (0-4).

Houston shot 51 percent from the field for the game while Bethune-Cookman shot 32 percent.

Houston led 29-20 at the half.
