Houston, Texas - After playing four of its last five games on the road, the University of Houston football team will return to John O'Quinn Field and play the Memphis Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18. It marks Houston first Conference USA home game of the season.
"We are ready to go," Houston head coach Art Briles said. "We have had a good effort and played with emotion and intensity in practice this week. We just want to play with poise and intelligence Saturday night."
The Cougars enter the game with a 5-1 overall record and are 2-0 in league play after recording C-USA wins at East Carolina and Tulane.
After recording those two road victories, Briles and the Cougars will be looking forward to playing at home this weekend.
"As the old saying goes, 'There's no place like home," Briles said. "We've had great support here our first two games and certainly don't expect anything different for the Memphis game. It's a great boost for us, something that our players look forward to and something we look forward to as a staff."
