Now that you know your injury is going to sideline you the rest of the year is there anything you would like to say to the fans for all of their support?
Thank you to everybody for believing in me and standing behind me 100 percent. They have shown me a lot of generosity. Just want to thank ya'll for all of your support. We are going to get going again next season, so please keep believing in me and standing behind me.
You played the first half against University of Texas from your advantage point what is your analysis of the quarterback play?
After the third play of the game I realized that I was not going to be able to play like my normal self. I was not able to get anything going the first half. I think Nick (Eddy) came in and did a good job. As far as the offense goes we really just got off to a slow start and we were not able to get anything going.
Did the Texas defense do some things that you did not see on film?
No, the coaches had us prepared for everything. We were ready for the man-to-man coverage. It was nothing new. Everything came down to my knee injury. I was favoring my knee and I was just not able to get anything started.
Was the three down linemen, three linebacker pass situations that Texas shows in passing situations a difficult defense to throw against?
It is a pretty good defensive set of linebackers to drop back to pick up a lot of things underneath. We had a lot of underneath routes called, you just have to keep you head on the swivel and watch both sides of the field.
I heard that ya'll wanted to run more option did their defense show something that made you guys think that you could run the option against them?
Yes, I felt that it was a big part of our game plan, but when I hurt my knee the plan was kind of put on the back burner. That hurt us a lot not being able to really stick to our game plan.
