HOUSTON, Texas - The University of Houston baseball team's game against Conference USA rival TCU was postponed Friday due to heavy rain that moved through the area, head coach Rayner Noble announced.
The game will be made up as part of a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at Cougar Field. The twinbill will be consist of two 7-inning games and fans can hear the game live on KGBC Radio 1540 AM or through the Internet at www.kgbcradio.cc.
The Cougars (39-14) are fresh off a 2-0 win over the Horned Frogs in the first game of the series Thursday. In that game, sophomore righthander Brad Sullivan held TCU to one hit and did not allow a runner to reach second base, while Jesse Crain provided the offense with a solo home run to lead off the fifth inning.
UH leads the Conference USA standings by a half-game over Louisville, which played at East Carolina on Friday night, and is 1.5 games ahead of the Horned Frogs.
