Houston Tennis Struggles Against Horned Frogs

Houston, Texas - The Cougar tennis team took on the Horned Frogs of TCU for their third Conference-USA match of the season. The Cougars did not enter the match at full steam, fighting illness the week before, but managed to continue two solid win streaks. Sarah Borwell continued her streak at the number one singles spot beating Paty Aburto 6-4, 6-4 and Jo Keene the Cougars number four player also continued to win in her slot beating Rusa Perez 2-6, 6-4, 10-4.
Borwell and partner Jen Baccarani were defeated for the first time this year in number one singles. They lost the match to Rosa Perez and Paty Aburto 8-3. The Cougars are now 2-1 in Conference and 5-3 overall.
The Cougar team will be back in action on Feb. 26 versus Baylor at 1:30 pm and in Houston on March 1 versus UAB at 2:00pm.
