Houston Loses Second Game of Two Against Gators

Lafayette, Louisiana - In the third game of the day, (the second for Houston) the Cougars let another game slip by to the Gators of Florida 8-2. The Gators took the first lead scoring Jackie Marchetta in the bottom of the first inning.
Houston countered in the top of the second scoring Michelle Keith and Kim Nesloney on hits by Nesloney, Lindsay Durham, and Leslie Seay. The lead was not around long enough, the Gators came back in the bottom of the inning to score four runs on four hits and two errors. They continued to build runs in the third making the total for the Florida Gators 7 to Houston's 2.
The Gators Mandy Schrerman hit a homerun to bring the Gators to eight and the final score of the game 8-2 Florida Gators.
Jenny Johnson began the game for the Cougars and was relieved by Jamie Falco. Johnson is now 4-4 and the Cougars finish Saturday at the Lady Cajun Tournament with a record of 14-6 overall.
