Cougar Softball Splits Double Header With Cowgirls

Houston ,Texas - The Cougars dropped their first game of the double header with McNeese State(6-9) on Wednesday, 2-0. The Cougars did not produce at the plate, only knocking four hits off McNeese pitcher, Meghan Novak.
McNeese State scored their runs on a hit by Heather Moreaux scoring Manuel and Merrill who both got on by singles.
Hits by the Cougars were by Kim Cote (2b), Leslie Seay (2B) and two hits by Riane Netardus. The pitcher of the first game today was Allison Thompson (4-1). She struck out three batters in a solid seven innings Houston's record falls to 12-3 after today's loss.
