Houston, Texas - The University of Houston football team returns from an open week to play a Conference USA game at Memphis on Saturday, November 2 in Memphis. The Cougars enter the game having won their first C-USA game against Army, 56-42, on October 19.
Head coach Dana Dimel was very pleased with his team's offensive performance against the Black Knights. Senior running back Joffrey Reynolds ran for 197 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 29 carries. Chris Robertson ran for three touchdowns and has six scores in three games since returning from a torn ACL injury. Nick Eddy also had his best day as a Cougars when he completed 18 of 24 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He completed passes to nine different receivers.
"We played a solid game offensively," Dimel said. "We need to continue to run the football so our passing game will open up. This week's game at Memphis gives us the opportunity to play the month of November with a lot riding on every game."
After playing at Memphis on November 2, Houston returns home for its annual homecoming game against East Carolina on November 9 before playing its final C-USA road game at Cincinnati on November 16. The Cougars play a non-conference home game against South Florida on November 23 before closing out the regular season with a C-USA home game versus Louisville on November 30.
