The University of Houston baseball team, 28-23 overall and 19-5 in Conference USA, begins a four-game road trip to close out the 2001 regular season on Wednesday, May 9. Houston faces crosstown rival Rice at the Owls' Reckling Park at 7:00 p.m. The finale for the 2001 Silver Glove Trophy will be broadcast live around the world on the internet at www.TSRNSports.com.
The Cougars will then face C-USA rival South Florida in a three-game weekend series in Tampa. Saturday's game of that series will be televised live on Fox Sports Net. UH will later compete in the C-USA Tournament May 16-20 in New Orleans. A schedule for Houston baseball this week is as follows...
