BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 3-point goal by Collis Temple III tied the score at 69-all and a slam dunk by Ben Bridgewater gave LSU a 71-69 lead Thursday night en route to a comeback 73-69 over Houston.
LSU (9-2), down by 69-66 with 1:57 remaining, scored the last seven points of the game to complete its rally and win its second game in a row against Houston (5-4).
After sitting out a game with an injured ankle, Temple led LSU with 22 points, Torris Bright had 19 and Bridgewater a career-high 16.
George Williams led Houston with 22 points, Louis Truscott had 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds, and Patrick Okafor added 10 points.
After a field goal by Okafor moved Houston into a 69-66 lead, Temple sank a 3-point goal to tie the game with 49 seconds remaining. Temple then stole the ball and passed to Dupree, who passed underneath to Bridgewater for the dunk with 22 seconds left that gave LSU a lead it would not relinquish.
A pair of free throws by Torris Bright capped the Tigers' scoring.
