Houston, Texas - Cougar Soccer Fights Hard Still Defeated by the Ragin' Cajuns
The Cougars had a tough battle with the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette, but came up short 1-0 in this non-conference battle. The Cougars out played the Cajuns in almost all statistical categories, but could not find the back of the net. Houston had 28 shots on the night thirteen of which were on target. They took 6 corners and committed thirteen fouls. High shooters for the night were Houston's Kara Bullinger, Ashley Fortenberry and Laura Repp with five a piece.
The lone goal of the night was by the Ragin' Cajuns senior Ashley Delahoussaye on a lofted pass from deep in the pocket. The goal was unassisted. The Cougar's record is now 2-7-1.
The Cougars will be back in action this weekend on the road in Birmingham playing UAB on Friday October 12th and in Tampa at the University of South Florida on Sunday the 14th.
