Cougar Fastpitch Lands Four Early Signees

The signees include Michelle Keith of Gainesville, Fla.; Kristen Glowacz of Katy, Texas; Kim Nesloney of Beaumont, Texas; and Jenilee Skender of Hallsville, Texas.
Keith, a utility player from Countryside Christian High School, earned Second Team All-State honors in 1999 and First Team All-State honors during both the 1997 and 1998 seasons. Glowacz, a Who's Who in High School Sports All-Star, is a three-time First Team All District 19-5A selection from Mayde Creek High School who also competed in the Goodwill Games in Sydney Australia with the Texas All-Star Team.
Kim Nesloney is an outfielder currently in her senior season at Westbrook High School. The three-sport varsity letterwinner was named to the All-District First Team during the 1998 -2000 seasons and also competed in the 2000 High School Softball All-Area Playoffs. Jenilee Skender is a versatile infielder from Hallsville High School who was also named a Who's Who Among American High School Students. The three-time, First Team All District 16-4A selection was also named the 1999 All East Texas Team MVP
The four will enroll at UH in the fall of 2001. Their first season of competition will begin in the spring of 2002.
