Traci Cauley serves Director for Operations for the Houston Baseball program and works on all non-coaching aspects. In her current role, she coordinates all contracts and travel, serves as the team's special events coordinator and works as a liaison to visiting teams and Athletics Department staff.
In addition, Cauley assists with on campus recruiting and manages correspondence and relations with alumni, former players and program supporters. She also manages the Dugout Club which provides annual financial support directly to the program for financial needs above and beyond the program's operating budget.
Cauley assists in budget preparation and implementation and supervises the daily office functions of Houston Baseball. While overseeing the program's fundraising, Cauley has helped raise $12 million over the past 12 years in addition to a variety of efforts surrounding the construction and completion of Houston's Player Development Center, ranked a Top-10 PDC in the country by Baseball America.
Before joining the UH Baseball staff in 2002, Cauley worked for seven years as an elementary school teacher, educating students in the third, fourth and fifth grades. She is a life-long supporter of the UH Athletics Department and is a lifetime member of the Houston Alumni Organization.
Cauley earned a bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1995 from the University of Houston. During her days as an undergraduate at UH, Cauley assisted the Athletics Department, specifically in the football office and in the athletic director's office.
A native Houstonian, she was a 1991 graduate of Cypress Creek High School. Her parents, Ken and Judy Baxter, began her interest in UH at a young age, and the family's commitment and dedication to Cougar Athletics has remained constant through the years.
She is married to former UH baseball player Pat Cauley. The couple has a daughter, Kendall and son, Lane.
