Matt Whitting joined the Houston Baseball staff for the 2025 season as the Assistant Director of Player Development.
In his role, Whitting assists with the day-to-day responsibilities within the program and assisting with data analytics and camp operations as well as a variety of other roles that aid in the development of the program’s student-athletes.
A two-year letterwinner at Blinn JC, Whitting helped the Buccaneers to the 2024 NJCAA World Series title in 2024 after hitting .275 with four RBI and seven walks.
Whitting is the son of Houston head coach Todd Whitting.
