Lizzy Rodgers joined the University of Houston Athletics Department as associate director for sports medicine in July 2024.
In her current role, Rogers works with the Houston Soccer and Tennis teams. She oversees the medical coverage, care and rehabilitation of all student-athletes for both teams.
Rodgers came to Houston after serving an athletic training fellowship with the Men's and Women's Tennis programs at Alabama during the 2023-24 season.
Prior to her time at Alabama, Rodgers served as an athletic training intern at Liberty, where she worked with the Swimming and Diving, Football, Volleyball, Women's Soccer, Men's and Women's Tennis and Field Hockey teams from 2021 to 2023.
A native of Allen, Texas, she received her bachelor's degree in athletics training with a minor in psychology from Alabama in May 2021.
Rodgers is a licensed athletics trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Athletic Training Student Association.
She lives in Houston.
