Danielle Rubio joined the Cougars as an Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement in November 2024. She is responsible for the marketing and fan engagement efforts for the Women's Basketball program as well as managing the marketing office's internship program.

Prior to joining Houston, Rubio spent two years (Aug. 2021-Sept. 2022) as Marketing Coordinator for Texas State Athletics, where she coordinated student workers while assisting in overall marketing efforts for Texas State programs, including in-game entertainment, group attendance efforts and building community support.

Rubio spent August 2021 through September 2022 as an ESPN+ Production Assistant for Texas State. Working with many of the department's Olympic sports, she operated broadcast cameras and worked in control room settings for live broadcasts on ESPN+. Also while a student, she assisted Texas State Athletics' marketing efforts as a lead student assistant.

Rubio graduated with a bachelor's degree in electronic media from Texas State in May 2023.
