Is the Cougars[apos] No. 1 punter as fall camp opens... also is vying for kickoff chores... talented specialist who has worked hard for four years to refine his skills... put on 25 pounds of muscle since arriving four years ago without hampering kicking skills... has an extremely strong leg and has worked hard to harness accuracy and punt placement... 2005: Booted all but eight of the Cougars[apos] punts... appeared in 11 games, including each of the last nine... was injured against Sam Houston State during the Robertson Stadium opener... returned to the Cougar lineup at Tulsa... booted six punts for an average of 41.7 yards per kick against Tulane... blasted a 55-yard punt and placed three kicks inside the 20-yard line against the Green Wave... recorded a 54-yard kick at C-USA rival UCF... averaged 44.9 yards on seven punts against Kansas in the Fort Worth Bowl... placed four punts inside the 20-yard line and nailed a season-best 59-yarder... 2004: Served as the Cougars punter in seven of 11 games last season...
