Chris Miller has spent 16-plus years in collegiate football and joined the Collegiate Sports Video Association (CSVA) in 2006. He re-joined the University of Houston in August 2020 as its Director of Football Video where he plans, edits and produces team films, coordinating video production and staffing, films all Houston Football events and oversees 13 student staffers, among other responsibilities.
Miller has twice received CSVA Video Coordinator of the Year honors, doing so in 2012-13 as director of football video at Wyoming and again in 2018-19 as director of creative and coaches video at the Air Force Academy.
He spent the 2013 and 2014 football seasons at Houston, assisting with scouting reports and game strategies, before transitioning over to Air Force.
Miller’s five-year stint at Air Force included responsibilities ranging from producing films for social platforms to video production. At Air Force, he filmed all team events, including practices and games, as well as planned, filmed and edited videos for regional and national television showcasing the department’s football, men’s swimming, lacrosse, hocket, basketball, fencing, tennis and volleyball programs. He also oversaw and trained 14 cadet filmers.
His career began as a student filmer at Wyoming in July 2006 before transitioning to assistant director of football video in 2010 and eventually director in 2011. There, he handled production, editing and cutting of multiple coaches’ videos while mentoring seven student filmers.
Miller received his Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Wyoming in 2010. He currently resides in Kingwood, Texas, with his wife Heather, son Maximus, and daughters Penelope, and Eleanor.
