Houston Men’s Basketball to Collaborate with ONE PIECE
Unique and limited-edition giveaways to be distributed at games on Feb. 14 (Kansas State), Feb. 21 (Arizona) and March 4 (Baylor) in Fertitta Center

As one of five college basketball teams from across the nation, the University of Houston Men’s Basketball program will distribute free ONE PIECE giveaways at three home games inside Fertitta Center during the 2025-26 season.
Current University of Houston students and fans may take part in this unique collaboration at the Cougars’ games against Kansas State (3 p.m., Saturday, February 14), against #1/1 Arizona (2 p.m., Saturday, February 21) and against Baylor (8 p.m., Tuesday, March 4).
The University of Houston Athletics Tickets Box Office will close at halftime, and NO tickets will be scanned after halftime of each game.

ONE PIECE GIVEAWAYS

vs. Kansas State (February 14)
• Prior to the game, approximately 1,000 ONE PIECE t-shirts will be given away to CURRENT University of Houston students.
• Beginning at the Under-4 timeout of the second half, 7,000 limited-edition posters and 7,000 unique trading cards will be given out with one trading card and one poster per person at the Cullen Boulevard / Holman Street and Marrs Club exits while supplies last.
• This game will feature a ONE PIECE Halftime Show with a limited edition T-shirt toss and a performance of We Are by the Spirit of Houston Band and Cheer team.
GIVEAWAY DISTRIBUTION PROCEDURES
Giveaways will begin at the Under-4 timeout in the second half of each game and will continue as fans EXIT Fertitta Center. Items will be distributed at designated locations at the Cullen Boulevard / Holman Street and Marrs Club exits while supplies last.

Fans looking for a quick exit from Fertitta Center can bypass the giveaway lines and use designated express lanes at the Cullen Boulevard, Holman Street or Marrs Club doors. These lanes will be clearly marked with signage in the arena.

HOUSTON COUGARS BASEBALL for FEBRUARY 21
Fans who show their February 21 Men’s Basketball ticket against Arizona will receive FREE admission to Houston Baseball’s 4:30 p.m., game against UT Rio Grande Valley inside Schroeder Park that afternoon.
Houston Baseball fans should note the new 4:30 p.m., starting time for that game from earlier published schedules.
ABOUT ONE PIECE
ONE PIECE, created by Eiichiro Oda, began serialization in “Weekly Shonen Jump,” issue 34, 1997 (Shueisha), released on July 22nd, 1997.
Still going strong, it celebrated its 25th anniversary in July 2022. The cumulative worldwide print circulation of the manga exceeded 510 million copies as of August 2022, and it is published in over 60 countries and regions worldwide.
The anime produced by Toei Animation began airing in Japan in 1999 and celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2024. The series will enter a new arc, the “Elbaph” Arc, starting in April 2026.

The show has nearly 100 million views and is one of Netflix’s most downloaded shows of all time.
ONE PIECE returns for its highly anticipated second season on March 10, 2026, and has been renewed for Season 3. The show is created in partnership with Shueisha and is produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix. The franchise continues to expand through a wide range of media, including films, games, and merchandise.
