Houston (6-10) split its six singles matches with Harvard as UH captured the top three singles matches with wins by Galina Seliounina, Sarah Borwell and Luciane Kelbert. Seliounina and Borwell each won easily in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-3, respectively, while Cunliffe needed to go the distance to do away with her opponent. After dropping the first set, 6-4, Cunliffe rallied to win the final two sets 7-5, 6-4.
With the score tied at 3-3 after singles, Houston managed to win just one of three doubles matches in dropping its third straight dual match. The Cougars dropped their number one and two doubles matches each by the score of 8-5. Sarah Bolle and Cunliffe were victorious at number three doubles, 8-5.
UH next plays on Tuesday, April 6 against UT-San Antonio at 2 p.m. at the UH Varsity Tennis Courts.
